For years, tech and social media giants like Google, Meta, Amazon, TikTok, and Apple have dominated the digital advertising space, generating billions in revenue from their massive platforms. But quietly and steadily, Reddit has been climbing into this elite club, emerging as one of the fastest-growing players in digital advertising.

According to data from Stocklytics.com, Reddit’s ad revenue is projected to jump by an impressive 33% in 2025, outpacing growth rates from TikTok, Instagram, and Amazon.

Only One Company Will See a Bigger Ad Revenue Growth in 2025

Although Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube continue to dominate digital advertising in terms of revenue, Reddit’s rapid growth has made it a strong competitor. With cutting-edge ad innovations, like refined targeting and interactive formats, and its ad reach skyrocketing to over 600 million at the end of 2024, marketers are flocking to the platform like never before.  This combination of factors has helped Reddit become one of the fastest-growing digital advertising platforms.

According to eMarketer`s Worldwide Ad Spending Forecast 2025, Reddit`s ad revenue is expected to soar by an impressive 33% this year, making it the second fastest-growing company in the digital advertising sector. Only Mercado Libre is expected to surpass this growth, with a projected increase of over 40%.

Reddit`s revenue growth is even more impressive when compared to other tech and social media giants, which have dominated this list for years. In comparison, TikTok`s ad revenue is forecasted to grow by 32%, or 1% slower than Reddit. The ecommerce giant Amazon and one of the top-grossing social media platforms, Instagram, are far below these figures, with a projected 23% and 20% growth in 2025. Statistics show Pinterest`s ad revenue will jump by 17% this year, while notable, it’s nearly half of Reddit’s anticipated 33% surge. KuaiShou and Spotify round out the list of the fastest-growing digital advertisers, with projected growth rates of 14.5% and 13.7%, respectively.

Social Media Platforms Are Outpacing Tech Giants in Ad Revenue Growth

The eMarketer survey revealed another interesting trend: while the list of top-grossing digital ad companies has long been dominated by tech giants like Alphabet, Amazon, Alibaba, Tencent, and Apple, with Meta and ByteDance as the only major social media players, social media platforms are now outpacing these tech giants in ad revenue growth.

This significant shift shows that social media’s interactive communities and dynamic content like short-form videos and influencer partnerships, have become crucial for advertisers. The eMarketer survey proves this, with six of the ten fastest-growing digital ad companies in 2025 being social media platforms.
