The Global X NASDAQ 100 Covered Call ETF (QYLD) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the CBOE NASDAQ-100 BuyWrite V2 Index. This index is designed to track a hypothetical strategy that involves buying an equity portfolio replicating the holdings of the NASDAQ-100 Index and simultaneously writing (or selling) monthly call options on the NASDAQ-100 Index. This strategy is commonly referred to as a covered call strategy.

By employing a covered call strategy, QYLD aims to generate additional income from the option premiums received, potentially enhancing total returns. The strategy can also provide some downside protection by offsetting potential losses in the equity portfolio with the option premiums collected.
