Stock Price Alerts: Free Alerts by Email

Set a price above or below a target, or watch news and SEC filings for a symbol you follow.

Email sign-up stores the address on the server, outside the site data directory. A digest is sent only after you confirm the link in the message.

On-device price alerts stay in this browser and do not need an email. They fire while the tab is open.

Alerts are a reminder to look, not a recommendation to buy or sell. Check the quote and the filing before you act.

Set email alerts for US stocks, strategies, or model portfolios. A rule can watch a target price, a percent move, a 52-week high or low, news, earnings, analyst changes, filings, dividends, insider buys, or a Stocklytics Score change. Alerts are information, not trading instructions.

Types of stock alerts

  • Price: a dollar target, a percent move from the price when you set the alert, and 52-week highs and lows.
  • Events: major news, earnings, analyst changes, insider buying, dividend changes, and SEC filings.
  • Stocklytics: a score change, or a rebalance of a strategy or model portfolio.
  • A golden cross is a signal on the signals page, not an alert type.

How to set up an alert

  1. Sign in with a free account and confirm the email. That confirmation is what turns delivery on.
  2. Search for a stock, a strategy, or a model portfolio.
  3. Choose the events and a digest: instant, daily, or weekly.

Alerts and watchlists

The watchlist is the list of names you save. Following a name creates email rules for it, such as a percent move, news, earnings, and 52-week highs and lows. Manage those rules on this page.
