Cookies

This page says which cookies and similar storage Stocklytics uses, and how to change your mind. It is written for UK PECR (the cookie rules) and UK GDPR.

Essential

  • sl_session — set when you log in. Keeps the session. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, about 30 days. The site cannot sign you in without it.
  • sl_cookie_consent — stored in the browser (local storage, not a tracking cookie) when you Accept all, Reject non-essential, or save Settings. It remembers that choice. It is essential so we do not ask on every page and so we know not to set analytics cookies.

Functional storage on your device

The tools remember theme, whether the sidebar is collapsed, screener columns, and unsynced watchlists, paper trades, notes, and alert copies. That storage stays in your browser so the feature you opened can work. We do not use it to advertise to you. Clearing site data in the browser removes it.

Analytics

We do not set analytics cookies, and we do not load an analytics script. The consent banner still has an analytics choice. Until you accept, the site will not set an analytics cookie. Reject non-essential leaves analytics off. You can reopen the choice from Cookie settings in the footer.

Other requests

Pages load typefaces from Google's font service, which receives your IP address as part of that request. Some chart pages load a charting library from a public content-delivery network. Those requests are there so the page can draw, not to build an advertising profile. We do not name a market-data vendor here. Quotes are fetched by our server.

How to choose

The bar at the bottom of the page offers Accept all, Reject non-essential, and Settings, with the same weight. Reject non-essential is enough to use the site. Settings lets you tick analytics, which stays off unless you tick it.
